g-SPACE Q3: From experiment to decision

Q3 2026 – Building the decision layer for commercial microgravity R&D.

Q3 in a nutshell: stronger commercial partnerships, clearer product workflows, and a simpler path for companies deciding where microgravity can create real value. Here’s what changed, and what comes next.

In this update

  • We won the 2026 Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award

  • From partnerships to end-to-end programs
  • Product roadmap: a decision that will save you millions
  • New: a guided path from sign-up to first result

g-SPACE wins the 2026 Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award

This summer, Belden named g-SPACE the winner of its 2026 Innovation Award, which recognizes technologies turning bold ideas into real-world industrial impact. The award recognized our machine-learning platform for microgravity product design, and our work turning complex experimental data into repeatable, decision-ready workflows.

The most interesting part has come since. We’ve been exploring with Belden how g-SPACE’s gravity-informed physics and modeling could connect with industrial data, digital twins and IT/OT infrastructure to improve high-value manufacturing.

From pharmaceutical formulations to advanced materials, the opportunity is the same: find where physics is limiting performance, then make a better decision about what to change.

Gravity-Informed Manufacturing: Building the Data Intelligence Layer

How do you turn microgravity from an interesting research environment into a repeatable manufacturing advantage? We presented clear use cases of the g-SPACE platform to quantify what gravity is actually changing, whether the effect is commercially meaningful, and what to test or optimize next.

Examples ranged from historical NASA data to biomanufacturing, artificial retina production and in-orbit experimentation. The shared lesson: getting to space is only part of the problem. The real value comes from helping our customers become profitable.

From partnerships to end-to-end commercial programs

Hardware alone doesn’t make microgravity commercially useful. That’s why we keep building partnerships that connect experiment design, flight infrastructure, data and decision-making.

Our work with Frontier Space combines their in-orbit laboratory capabilities with g-SPACE’s physics-based software. Together, that creates an end-to-end path from terrestrial R&D through flight to post-flight analysis.

The goal: move away from one-off experiments, toward programs where every experiment informs the next.

We’re taking the same approach across our wider ecosystem of flight providers, hardware companies and industrial technology partners, wherever combining capabilities makes microgravity R&D faster, lower-risk and easier to adopt.

A decision that will save you millions

The most expensive mistake in microgravity is running the wrong experiment, experimenting in flight without having clean, executable metrics or discovering after a mission that you missed or measured the wrong thing.

The g-SPACE platform is built around a simple idea: making the best decision. Our new guided decision flow starts with the question your team actually needs to answer: Does gravity improve this product or process? What should we test next? Do we need to fly? And ultimately, does this belong on Earth or in space?

Get your decision in minutes

We’re rolling out a new guided g-SPACE workflow designed to take you from sign-up to your first useful result in minutes.

Tell us what you’re working on and where you are in your microgravity programme. g-SPACE then recommends the most relevant next step, helps structure your data and guides you into the optimal scaling path.

Upload your own experimental data or start with an existing relevant dataset, with recommended metrics and decisions that help you optimize your goals.
